Software studio — Arizona

We build software.
Then we run it.

Caplan Studio is an independent software studio behind Gamenight, PantryTrack, Tales & Fables, BookLocally, and more — designed, built, and self-hosted end to end.

We're a small studio with a simple model: build useful products, own the whole stack, and keep them running. No clients, no agencies — just software we're accountable for, from the first commit to the server it ships on.

The work

01 — Live

Gamenight

Home base for gaming communities.

A multi-tenant platform where communities run their own hubs — events, rosters, and live Riot API stats under one roof. Every tenant gets its own space without its own infrastructure.

PantryTrack

Know your pantry.

Pantry management that people actually keep using — track what you have, what's expiring, and what to buy. React on the front end, Express and Postgres behind it.

Tales & Fables

Write together, in real time.

A collaborative writing studio with live multi-author editing powered by Y.js, and paid plans handled through Stripe. Stories, feedback, and co-writing in one place.

BookLocally

Bookings for local businesses, under their own brand.

White-label scheduling and payments for local service businesses — each one gets a branded booking storefront without building a thing. Next.js, Prisma, and Stripe end to end.

CrewTempo

Employee management, simple at every step.

Multi-tenant scheduling, timesheets, and reporting for teams of any size — RBAC, geofenced clock-ins, and per-org branding, built to stay simple even as the depth grows underneath.

  • Drizzle
  • PostgreSQL

RecallRally

Study once. Remember for good.

A flashcard studio built around SM-2 spaced repetition — the review queue decides what you see and when, so nothing gets crammed twice. Streaks, stats, and achievements keep the habit alive; the shared deck library and accounts run on Express and SQLite.

ServerPack

Run your own server, with a site to match.

A Minecraft plugin pack and companion website for running a community under your own name. mc.pvpers.us — where the studio started — is the live proof: same pack, same site, still going. We host the website and the plugins; the server itself is yours to run.

A studio that runs its own stack

How we work

Caplan Studio is founder-run. Every product above is designed, built, deployed, and operated in-house — including the servers. Our sites run on hardware we manage, behind Cloudflare, because owning the whole stack keeps us honest about what we ship.

The founder

Caplan Studio was founded by Carson Caplan, a full-stack developer in Arizona. The personal work lives at carsoncaplan.com →

Work with us, or just say hi.

Partnerships, product questions, or early access — we read everything.
